Easter Gathering
A dream came true when I teamed up with Rachel Craven, Kristen Cassie and Danielle Steckler for an Easter gathering for Martha Stewart Living. We created a casual setting overflowing with Spring flowers, sumptuous linens, eggs from my ladies, and delicious traditional Easter treats. Whether you celebrate Easter, Passover, Persian New Year, or Spring Solstice, the gathering and acknowledgment of Spring is auspicious in that this is time for new shoots to come through the earth, for beginning of things, abundance and fertility.
It really does take a village to create something so relaxed and beautiful. I have no problem delegating to artists that are amazing at what they do. We started the morning by prepping. Rachel set up the table with her linen and table ware from Heath, while Danielle slaved away in the kitchen. Kristen arranged beautiful arrangements on the teepee, table, and through out the area. I foraged about the garden for herbs, eggs, berries and other edibles. The children were at peace running around looking for eggs, while we drank aqua fresco drinks (some of course spiked!)
