Trees

Study Nature,

love nature, ,
stay close to nature.

It will never fail you.
-Frank Lloyd Wright

I have never been one to be addicted to exercise My motto used to be “I don’t want to look like I’ve been on a treadmill for two hours a day, but rather like I’ve been reading a book”. That is until my life began to become unraveled due to divorce, moving, financial issues, family troubles, stress with children, etc. When I moved to the house I am now in which is walking distance to the Santa Monica Mountains, I discovered the joy of solitude in nature. I know it sounds like the new age cliche we hear about, but truly my walks among the trees have replenished my spirit. Yes Thoreau and Emerson  were on to something profound. The best thing about Los Angeles is quick access to the sea and mountains. Some great trails on the west side are
off Amalfi, Paseo Miramar, and Temescal Canyon (waterfalls in the winter seasons). On the East side Runyan, and for magical waterfalls off Malibu the
Escondido Trail. For more hiking trail info look at this site. discoverlosangeles.com
Sorry I cannot reveal my trail. I will just have to take you on it . . . .

  1. Fee Willow says:

A lovely scene, a tranquil path, far from wrath and sorrow
Narrow trails made by tiny feet or even tinier paws.
These places never fail to unveil beauty, harmony,
the hallowed hollows that keep calling us back
for us to seek, to find, perhaps, the kindness,
the meek sound of the sparrow behind us, following
tenderly, truly, trusting we shall know and grow.
Peace & Prosperity to you, Shiva Rose
    I love your writing-thoughts.
