Nena the Nurturer
Nena’s story is pretty extraordinary because she is an example of a true vanguard who made controversial decisions to save her life based on her intuition and not what Western medicine dictates. (of course bear in mind this is not appropriate for everyone with a life threatening illness)
Nena first had cancer in her early twenties where she went with the typical route of chemo therapy. Years later when the cancer reappeared in her forties Nena refused the traditional Western approach. Mostly she did this to spare her children the pain of seeing her in the condition she had experienced years ago. She knew she was taking a risk, but somehow she
trusted her instinct which was telling her to try at first simple with a diet change. She began to eat raw foods, fresh juices, and cleanse herself. Nena suspects the cancer was caused from being exposed to DDT as a young child in Nicaragua. The flip side of being raised in a rural latin country, was she as also exposed to eating pure foods that were not processed.
Today Nena believes health is a matter of highly nutritious, alkaline balancing, pure foods. She has made it her mission to educate people and heal others suffering with cancer.

I was fascinated by her and enjoyed the video clips. My father is slowly dying now of stomach cancer and I find the cancer statistics of one in every two people getting cancer very scary. I think she is doing important work (as you are too with getting the message out!) xx
