Natural Gardens = Camille Cimino

One of the things that gives me the most pleasure these days is being able to walk to my edible garden in my back yard, and harvest vegetables that I have grown. Well . . . vegetables that I’ve grown with the help of an extraordinary woman. . . Camille Cimino. Camille’s company The Nature of Things, will supply your nest with the little organic plants that have been grown as seedlings. She can provide those heirloom delights that you can’t find at Armstrongs or Home Depot. Cheddar Cauliflower, Romanesco broccoli, wild Alpine strawberries to name a few. Camille has natural, holistic solutions to all issues from combating aphids to collecting rain water in barrels. Her solution to evict the weeds in my vegetable patch was to use cardboard to suppress them rather than a toxic weed killer. The cardboard eventually degraded into the earth and the weeds are still gone. She gives back to her community with workshops and started the Los Angeles Permaculture Guild. What I like most about Camille (besides her way with children) is she wants her clients to learn how to tend to their garden. She enjoys passing the wisdom along so our great mother can breathe easier.
