Natural Hair dye
I have had a few requests about what is the best natural hair color out there. This has not been exactly easy. I started going to a salon near me that used a natural process, without ammonia, however after a few sessions my hair became dried out and had that dreaded orangish pallor. I started to heal my hair by using a hair elixir by La Bella Figuera.
Now I am testing some of the health store varieties of hair color. (To all the blonde and redheads out there this inquiry was used on my personal head so it applies to brunettes)
The three brands I tried out were Herbaceuticals, Herbatint and Naturtint. They sell these three at Whole Foods and at the market I go to Santa Monica Coop.
Herbatint did the job though it came out a bit on the dark side. After some investigating though, it seems this brand is not much better than using a product with ammonia. According to the Cosmetic database this brand has lots of toxic products so you may as well use traditional hair color.
The two brands that had a positive outcome for me were by Naturtint and Herbaceuticals. I have heard from many that for lighter hair shades, Naturtint is a good choice.
