Yeah I don’t eat fish . . . but love the fish market . . .

I don’t really eat fish. I’m paranoid about the Japanese Nuclear fallout, but here I did try some fresh fish. It was pretty amazing, so I may be trying it more.  Although I’m not a huge fish fan, I love the Fish Market Restaurant in Kilauea. Kilauea is a sweet town where you can find a great health food store called Health Hut. The Fish Market has great vegetarian dishes like rice, beans, and tofu. Everything is organic and fresh as can be!!

Kauai Farmer’s Markets

The best place to get your food like any place else in the world is at the farmer’s markets. They have about three or four a week in near by towns. There is the Hanalei market on Saturdays, the Haena one on Tuesdays, and then one in Kilauea. Since this is the Garden Island after all, the produce is incredible. On this trip I just bought a bunch of incredible papayas, mangoes, avocados and lilikois to eat for breakfast and snacks.
