Spirit Weavers

My beautiful sisters have organized a blessed gathering Spirit Weavers for women to come together to dream, dance, pray, meditate and learn. They are ceremonial sisters that are bringing their gifts to share to others. There will be several workshops held that will focus on sacred movement, ceremonial magic, plant medicine, and more. There will be stories told around a fire under the stars and moments of quiet reflection. It will be held on sacred land in Murrieta Ca. I am so relieved that there will also be child care provided during those days. A few of the sisters teaching you have met here on The Local Rose. Mystic Mamma, Baelyn Neff and organizer Daughter of the  Sun.  If it is already sold out don’t despair, this may become a bi-annual event.

For more spiritual rituals, see The Local Rose.

The Story

It seems the time is becoming ripe for us all to return to the ways which bring us nourishment, comfort, sisterhood and spiritual union. The way we treat our Gaia Earth is a direct reflection of how we treat ourselves. When we chop her trees and fill her with chemicals it is not unlike what we are doing to our physical beings with medication, disengaging from our antennas that connect us to land, sea and air. As a child I was a super sensitive. So much so that I would go on crying jags when seeing trees being chopped down or buildings being erected. A few years ago I went through my ‘phoenix in the flame’ moment when all around me crashed and burned. I am grateful for that today because I have now found my way back to all of you, to myself, and to mama earth. When the man who bought my former home (I was renting it back from him for a few months so still on the land) came one day with a team of tree butchers with their bull dozers, electric saws, and demonic gleam in their eyes I realized how tough it can be to fight the good fight. They took down redwoods that were hundreds of years old and sycamores that shaded me and my babies through hot summer days. I fought through it first with my cries, then with legal threats and finally with getting the city involved. It was too late to save many of the trees, but they were not able to take down the two hundred year old oak that was the center of my heart. That oak still stands to this day and will continue to thrive and remind me that the best things in life are worth fighting for.

Connecting with like minded beings has been one of the greatest gifts in my life. Being supported and taught the ways of the earth by these Weavers of the Spirit is something we can pass down through the generations and heal ourselves along the way.
