Months ago I posted a piece about making sure your ingredients in baking and cooking are safe and not toxic. Sadly many go to buy cinnamon but are actually buying a product called cassia which is toxic to the liver. Most cinnamon sold at Whole Foods or Trader Joes are made with this cassia product from China. True, rich, delicious cinnamon is usually from Ceylon. I am now selling this type of health promoting and delicious spice in The Local Rose Shop.
