Atelier Delphine . . . perfect pieces for the summer

July 23, 2012 | 2 Comments

The last time I went to the Echo Park Craft Fair I was able to get a few pieces from a charming line called Atelier Delphine by local gamine Yuku Izutsu. Of course synchronicity was at play, because I have been searching for a light blue easy button blouse since re-watching one of my most favorite films Bonjour Tristesse. Jean Seberg running around carefree in the French Riviera in her white shorts and casual button up blouse, makes me yearn for simplicity and clean lines for my summer look. The talented Yuku is able to bring that sensibility to her modern looks. Some of my other favorite pieces by her are the linen cami in oatmeal (which is certainly going to be my Tuscan trip uniform) and her striped linen pants cut in a boyish fit. Her line that was launched in 2010, is a mix of “Southern california meets sixties European vacation style”.
