Yes on Proposition 37. Our Lives are at Stake
Last weekend I was visiting with the Farmer at my most favorite restaurant The Farmer and The Cook, when he educated me on the huge impact Prop 37 will have on our lives. I have tried not to be too political on the Local Rose, however this is an issue that will have such dire consequences to the well being of our planet and children that i feel I must be somewhat vocal. There are numerous published studies that illustrate how Monsanto corn causes cancer. we need to wake up, listen and take action before it is too late. the following was written by wise sage Judith Scott:
we have a state wide initiative,the first of its kind in the united states, on the november ballot that would require labeling of genetically modified food. PROP 37-YES monsanto,syngenta and many of their clients have put up 25 million in the last month to squash this initiative. deep pockets.i for one am doing my part every single day til november to share information and ensure that as many people understand the gravity of winning PROP 37. it is important that you are informed and sharing information. winning PROP 37 would be a profoundly humiliating loss for this relentlessly belligerent organization. MONSANTO,et al, have done no good for anyone anywhere in the world since their beginnings. whether you understand what a gmo is or not. whether you eat strictly from farmers markets or grocery stores,i believe we all have a right to know what has been designed by a bio tech corporation and what has been grown by a farmer. the USDA has NOT approved the safety of GMOs in the food system,but the USDA has allowed bio tech companies the right to sell GMOs without the publics knowledge,that is until studies and tests show how damaging they are for the environment,humans and the animals who will surely eat and spread them.
over 50 countries have REJECTED and BANNED the use of GMOs. FIFTY COUNTRIES HAVE SAID NO TO MONSANTO.
