Beautifying Lashes & Brows
Castor Oil as a Natural Alternative for Hair Growth
Yes, I too want to have those long, luscious, lashes that are reminiscent of an innocent doe in the forest. I have been tempted over the years to succumb to those various eye lash treatments that boost lash growth using certain chemicals. I also have been tempted to try to get lashes glues on at one of this lash salons; however, I always felt that there was probably some sort of payback down the line. Recently some countries in Europe are banning the lash serums that contain prostaglandin. I have also heard that some of these products can change the color of one’s eyes! The lab salons must also be checked out to make sure they don’t use toxic formaldehyde in their lash glue.

So I began doing some research on natural alternatives and have used my lashes in the experiments. Of all the natural oils out there I have seen quick results with castor oil. Sometimes I even mix some vitamin E with the castor oil for a stronger effect. Using a clean mascara wand I simply spread some of the oil on my eyebrows and then through my eye lashes every evening before bed. I noticed results after two weeks of use. My eyebrows seem shiny, happy and fuller and my lashes seem stronger and thicker. Castor oil has been a home remedy for thousands of years, so it’s no wonder that it has a beautifying effect as well. Castor oil is a powerful carrier of omega 6 and 9 fatty acids and can be used to treat skin ailments and issues as well. It can be added to your conditioner for a nurturing, restorative treatment for your hair. It can help heal scars, cure ring worm, ease inflammation from arthritis and more. I have always had this good old oil along with a a piece of muslin in my cabinet. You can make a castor oil pack with the muslin fabric if you ever need to draw something out of the body. The pack can be used for treating gallbladder issues, stomach aches or ovarian cysts. I use 100% organic brands since it is going on my skin or near my eyes.
Love this!!!! My lashes are so short! Can’t wait to try! xxo
After fighting an autoimmune thyroid condition, I need this. Thanks!
I also overcame a thyroid condition, it is possible !~
I’ve tried applying castor oil to my lashes but inevitably end up getting it in my eyes (and it stings). I’ve tried applying the tiniest bit but it always migrates 🙁 I’m super intrigued by the pack idea though.
Are you applying it with an unused mascara wand? Or perhaps a q-tip?
I am anxious to try the castor oil on my lashes, but I am more interested on using it as a cure for ring worm. Where did you find this information? I have a 16 year old wrestler who puts bleach on his skin..
In my healing essential oil books but look on line to make sure it will be for what you need. Thank you!
Thankyou for the reminder of ovarian cysts treatment. I am going to get some of this immediately, Shiva
